With suspension of detention granted, Mark Sungkar is grateful to be a prisoner of the city

The good news was greeted happily by Shireen’s father and Zaskia Sungkar. “Alhamdulillah, the important thing is not to be a city of Tarzan,” Mark said after the trial.

According to Fahri Bachmid, Mark Sungkar’s lawyer, it is likely that his client will not be able to leave the detention center until Wednesday (5/5/2021). “Tomorrow, I will be a prisoner of the city because I must first take care of the administration,” said Fahri Bachmid.

2. Cooperative

Fahri made sure that while serving his detention in the city, Mark Sungkar would be cooperative in following all the rules and continuing to stand trials on schedule.

“We believe in cooperation and will follow the trial properly as planned by the panel of judges,” Fahri said.

Mark Sungkar’s lawyer has filed a stay of detention in view of Mark Sungkar’s aging age. As is known, Mark Sungkar sat in the prison chair because he got caught up in an alleged corruption case during the 2018 Asian Games National Pelatlon Fund Triathlon.

Mark Sungkar, who was then general chairman of the central executive of the Indonesian Triathlon Federation (PPFTI), was tasked with enriching himself.

He was charged with violating article 2, paragraph (1), article 18, paragraph (1), letter B, of the Subsidiary Law on the eradication of corruption the Law on the eradication of corruption.
