Vitesse confirms Conference League ticket after Feyenoord slip

Jakarta (medialnews) – Vitesse Arnhem confirmed a Conference League qualifier after winning only a draw in Dutch League Week 33, because at the same time Feyenoord also slipped and failed to win.

Visiting Fortuna Sittard on Thursday, Vitesse must do their best to keep up with host Fortuna Sittard with a score of 3-3.

Coming from behind due to Ben Rienstra’s quick goal in the first minute, Vitesse was able to get up and take the lead thanks to goals from Sondre Trondstad and Riechedly Bazoer.

But Zian Flemming fired a long-range shot four minutes into the half to make it 2-2 at halftime.

Flemming scored his second goal to put Fortuna back in the lead in the 54th minute, again with a long-range shot that was enough to beat goalkeeper Remko Pasveer.

The victory that was already in front of Fortuna was shattered in the fourth minute of added time when Lois Openda snatched the ball from Osama Tannane’s shot that goalkeeper Yannick van Osch did not fully anticipate.
