Unidentified male corpse found at Manggarai flood gate

estimated at 50 years

Jakarta (medialnews) – An unidentified male corpse was found stranded at the Manggarai flood gate, Menteng, in central Jakarta on Thursday morning at around 6 a.m. WIB.

Based on a police report from Menteng Metro, the corpse of the middle-aged man, estimated to be 50, was found floating with a pile of rubbish.

Witness named Tono (38), a fire officer from Menteng sector, received an order from the Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue Subdepartment (Gulkarmat) to check at Manggarai Water Gate regarding the discovery of a dead body.

Upon verification, it turned out that a corpse had been caught naked in the Manggarai dike. Then Budiman (31), the water management service officer, picked up the corpse with a backhoe.

After being lifted, then put in a body bag. There is also the condition of the body of the corpse which lasted more than a day.

However, there was no sign of violence on the body. The police team also took the fingerprints, but they were not legible.

Then the police team summoned the Black Cross agents to send the victim’s body to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital for autopsy.
