Two bodies of Kedung Ombo boat victims resurfaced on their own

VIVA – The joint SAR team finally found all the victims of the excursion boat which overturned and sank in the Kedung Ombo reservoir, Boyolali, Central Java. The two remaining victims who had been searching all day yesterday did not meet, surfaced on Sunday evening May 16, 2021 and Monday morning May 17, 2021.

According to the head of Basarnas Semarang, Mr. Yahya, the place where the victim was found is still close to the incident. The victim’s body appeared on its own on the surface.

“So last Sunday evening, the members of the joint SAR team were resting on the edge of the tank and the floating shop. Then they vaguely saw something floating. Then they were highlighted with a flashlight. and they suspected it was a victim of the overturned boat named Jalal, ”Yahya said.

The same incident also happened on Monday morning May 17, 2021 at 5:00 a.m. WIB, 8-year-old victim named Niken Safitri was found floating by the joint SAR team who was in the floating workshop where the victims were previously intended.
