According to the Minister of Commerce, the government tolerates price increases for chicken farmers, especially since they have suffered a price drop due to a surplus.

“I ask permission not to talk about chicken and eggs first because it is a problem for small farmers. It is a shame to let them make a good profit this Ramadan,” said Lutfi.

The Commerce Ministry noted that the average price of chicken meat on Thursday (4/15/2021) was IDR 37,000 per kilogram.

The price was up 8.19% from last month, which was also up 5.41 from the previous week.

The Minister of Commerce explained that the overall prices of commodities are stable.
