According to Gerald’s account, Nazaruddin was the person who gave money to attendees who went mad while he was present at KLB. Pesarta who went mad because the promises were not kept where the lure of 100 million rupees was given, but only 5 million rupees was given.

As is known, Nazaruddin is a former Democrat who was fired in 2011 because he got caught up in the Wisma Atlet corruption case. In 2012, he was sentenced to seven years in prison for this corruption case.
In 2016, Nazaruddin was again sentenced to six years in prison for money laundering. So the total sentence he has served is 13 years in prison since 2012. Even though he should have been released in 2025, Nazaruddin was released on August 14, 2020.
