Jakarta (medialnews) – Dandim 0501 / JP BS Col. Inf Luqman Arief stressed that his party will continue to step up night patrols to monitor potential crowds in the community and stop the spread of COVID-19, especially during the month of Ramadan .

According to Luqman, the curfew in central Jakarta has not been enforced because the area is not considered to be in the COVID-19 red zone. However, patrol activities continued intensively.

“The PPKM is still in effect and community activities are limited to 9:00 p.m. WIB,” Luqman said when he met in the Monas area in central Jakarta on Thursday.

There are also night patrols carried out in a combination of three pillars namely TNI, Polri and the city government through the Public Service Police Unit (Satpol PP).

In addition to crowd prevention, patrols are also organized to anticipate the Sahur on the road to potential fights between communities.

“Its function is to ban social gatherings amid the COVID-19 pandemic as it is today,” he said.

Previously, the DKI provincial government of Jakarta (Pemprov) imposed a curfew in areas included in the COVID-19 red zone category from 8:00 p.m. WIB to prohibit residents from entering and exiting red zone areas. .

The application of this curfew is as indicated in the Governor’s Instruction (Ingub) number 23 of 2021 concerning the extension of the implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM) on the basis of neighborhood associations at the level microphone, which is set for April 19, 2021.

“This means (from) 8 p.m. it will be applied so that RT-RT people who are in the red zone category are not allowed to roam, rush and leave the house,” said DKI Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday (21/4).
