Jakarta (medialnews) – Oil wastes (Oil spill) which polluted the waters of Untung Jawa Island, Kepulauan Seribu Selatan District, Kepulauan Seribu Regency, DKI Jakarta Province.

The issue was reported by Lurah Supriyadi to related parties.

“Hopefully the response will be quick, because every year garbage is sent every year.Oil spill ‘ on the island (Untung Jawa), ”said Supriyadi contacted by medialnews in Jakarta on Sunday.

He said the oil waste contamination was discovered at around 9:00 p.m. WIB on Saturday evening, as there was joint surveillance of the area with residents and the Village Community Early Awareness Forum (FKDM). .

“Working together this morning, residents and other Kelurahan Individual Service Providers (PJLP) collected the used oil, so the beach would be clean again,” Supriyadi said.

According to the official information portal of Kepulauan Seribu, the places that experience pollution from oil wastes are along the body of Arsa Beach, Sakura Beach, coastal area RT 03 / RW 03 and on the south coast of Untung Jawa Island.

According to Supriyadi, residents of the island of Untung Jawa have called on related parties to act quickly in dealing with oil waste, so as not to disrupt the ecosystem and the tourism sector.

“So far, efforts to collect waste from residents are still ongoing. We hope that the related parties will immediately proceed with prompt handling, shutting off the oil leak,” Supriyadi said.

According to him, the oil spill must have an impact on the marine ecosystem, the mangrove environment and the fishermen of the Thousand Islands as well as the tourism sector, in particular Untung Jawa Island and its surroundings due to the impact of pollution from petroleum waste.

Meanwhile, PT Pertamina (Persero) chairman and commissioner Basuki Tjahaja Purnama said he would pass on the alleged pollution to the PT Pertamina board.

Ahok, as it is called, is also grateful to have received a report regarding the contamination of the waste from the oil spill. “Thank you for the information, it will be passed on to the board,” Ahok said.
