Jakarta (medialnews) – The Super Priority Tourism Destination (DPSP) will have auto tourism, said Tourism and Creative Economy Minister / Head of Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno.

Sandi during a talk show at the Indonesian International Automobile Salon (IIMS) Hybrid 2021 in Jiexpo Kemayoran, Jakarta on Sunday, said a number of DPSPs such as Borobudur, Mandalika, Likupang and Labuan Bajo had auto-based tourism programs.

“In Purworejo in Borobudur there will be a GP MX, it is similar to MotoGP but for Track. This world level will be in Borobudur, ”said Sandi.

Meanwhile, in Mandalika, he said, a MotoGP event will be held in March 2022. As for what comes closest, a Superbike event will be held in November in a 1,035 hectare tourist area in Lombok, NTB.

The super-priority destinations of Likupang and Labuan Bajo also have nuanced auto tourism programs.

“Likupang, maybe there will be activities related to automobile, tourism, etc. For Labuan Bajo, we are orienting it towards nature conservation, to preserve nature, and this is where cars and motorcycles with ecological undertones will be encouraged, ”said Sandi.

In addition, Sandiaga said automotive infrastructure will also be built in the DPSP area, such as charging facilities for electric vehicles.

“I hope that these tourist destinations now focus on environmentally friendly vehicles, namely electric vehicles, not only cars but also motorcycles, so it will be our duty together,” said Sandi.
