The San Antonio Spurs compete against the Sacramento Kings 113-104

Jakarta (medialnews) – DeMar DeRozan scored 25 points as Lonnie Walker IV fired the shot that decided the visitors’ victory for the San Antonio Spurs when they defeated the Sacramento Kings 113-104 Friday (Saturday WIB).

Spurs were three points behind in the fourth quarter, but they took advantage of the first 3.5 minutes of the latter period to open a 92-84 lead.

San Antonio led with 11 points before Sacramento turned a 103-102 lead with Buddy Hield’s three-pointer with 2:37 left.

But the Spurs never gave up, with Walker scoring half of his 16 runs in the last 3:03 of the game.

Murray added 22 points and seven assists for San Antonio. Keldon Johnson scored 16 points, Rudy Gay 14 points and Jakob Poeltl took 11 points and 10 rebounds.

The Spurs, who switched positions with the New Orleans Pelicans and are now 10th in the Western Conference, ended their five-game lost streak by beating the Kings.

Terance Davis leads the Kings by 24 points. Hield and Delon Wright each contributed 17 points, with Wright providing nine assists. Richaun Holmes scored 15 points and Maurice Harkless added 12 points.

The Kings played without their three starters, namely De’Aaron Fox (COVID-19 health and safety protocol), Tyrese Haliburton (left knee) and Harrison Barnes (left leg injury).

The Spurs enjoyed a 10-point lead in the first quarter before using 25-21 after 12 minutes of play.

Sacramento bounced back to 47-46 with Hield’s three-pointer with 1:38 left in the second half, but San Antonio closed the quarter with three straight shots from DeRozan to take a 52-49 lead at half time.

DeRozan took the lead with 18 points in the first half. While off the bench, Davis scored 15 points and sent Sacramento hot for half time.
