The LIB focuses more on the quality of the competition than on promotion relegation

Our concern is how to keep the competition good so that all participating clubs are more excited to compete

Jakarta (medialnews) – PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) Chief Executive Officer Akhmad Hadian Lukita said his party was more focused on improving the quality of Leagues 1 and 2 rather than participating in disagreements on whether or not promotion and demotion system was implemented.

“Our concern is how to keep the game going so that all participating clubs are more enthusiastic about the game,” Akhmad Hadian told Antara in Jakarta on Friday.

To make this wish come true, the man from West Java emphasized that LIB will make preparations for League 1 and League 2 for the 2021-2022 season to the fullest.

Besides improving the quality of the competition, good competition preparation can also lead to satisfaction of the people who witness it.

“We are certainly trying to present an interesting and enjoyable match,” said Akhmad Hadian.

With regard to promotion and relegation, LIB surrenders completely to PSSI.

In an emergency meeting of the PSSI Executive Committee (Exco) on Tuesday (5/25), PSSI ensured that the promotion and relegation system remained in effect in Liga 1 and Liga 2 Indonesia for the 2021-2022 season.

PSSI Chairman Mochamad Iriawan also stressed that this has also been discussed with FIFA and AFC.

“The PSSI’s decision is final,” said Iriawan.
