Jakarta (medialnews) – Takbiran at Al Azhar Mosque in South Jakarta was carried out under strict sanitary protocols and without crowds.

Based on Antara’s sighting at the Al Azhar Grand Mosque in South Jakarta on Wednesday evening, the takbiran was solemnly held with echoes of the takbir by the mosque leadership.

The takbiran was headed by the imams of the Al Azhar Grand Mosque, namely Ustadz Achmad Khotib, Ustadz Agus N and Ustadz Mochtar Ibnu. Takbiran is also broadcast live via Youtube and Instagram channels from the Al Azhar Grand Mosque.

There are no crowds of worshipers in the large designer mosque in white as it is regulated by health protocols.

The head of the office of the Al Azhar Iding Grand Mosque explained that the capacity of the rooms of the mosque reaches around 1000 people.

However, due to the pandemic a number of restrictions have been put in place to suppress the crowds
For example, when the tarawih prayer at the start of the fast, only 50 percent of the capacity is provided.

In the series of takbiran nights, there are only Muslims who pay zakat according to health protocols, namely standing in line while keeping their distance.

Zakat payment counters are open from the start of the fast, which are placed at the front and back doors of the mosque to avoid crowds.

Previously, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, through Jakarta Governor Hotline 5 from 2021, organized the Eid celebrations, including the night of takbiran.

In the appeal, it was stated that the evening takbiran held in mosques and prayer rooms was limited to a maximum of 10 percent of capacity with strict protocols.

Nighttime takbiran activities can also be organized virtually from mosques and prayer rooms depending on device availability.
