Special detachment shoots down suspected terrorist in Makassar

VIVA – Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Counterterrorism personnel from the National Police Headquarters shot dead a suspected terrorist in Jalan Malengkeri, Makassar town, on Thursday, April 15, 2021.

South Sulawesi Police Chief Public Relations Commissioner Endra Zulpan confirmed the shooting. He said those shot bore the highly suspected initials MT of the Villa Mutiara Network and were closely linked to the suicide bombing in the front yard of Makassar Cathedral recently.

“The body is now taken to Bhayangkara Makassar Hospital,” Zulpan told VIVA on Thursday April 15, 2021.
