Makassar (medialnews) – South Sulawesi Ministry of Religious Affairs regional office urged Muslims to prioritize the health of their family members rather than getting lost in the euphoria of Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijriah.

“Our special message to Muslims is to prioritize personal health and family health over the euphoria of Eid, which is why there is no traveling takbir, that is. is sufficient in mosques or prayer rooms, ”said the head of Islamic affairs at the regional office of the South Sulawesi Ministry of Religion, Drs Rappe, in Makassar on Wednesday evening.

Euphoria celebrating Eid al-Fitr with many interactions with other residents, including families, is seen as possible to create new clusters and increase the number of Covid-19 cases, which are currently known to be of more and more inclined.

“We, the South Sulawesi Regional Office of Religion, urge to celebrate Eid in a simple way,” he said.

To deal with the possible spread of the corona virus, the Ministry of Religion has issued various guidelines for performing fasting, tarwih, takbir and Eid prayers to reduce the rate of Covid-19 cases.

Mainly in the implementation of the Eid prayer, the South Sulawesi Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion urged the public to adhere to health protocols both in the mosque and in the field.
