Shot by KKB, 3 Polri members evacuated to Timika: Okezone News

JAYAPURA – Three members of the police who were the victims of a shooting with armed criminal group (KKB) in Makki village, Ilaga district, Puncak Regency, Papua, Tuesday (4/27/2021), was evacuated to Timika.

Papua Chief Inspector General of Police Pol Mathius D Fakhiri confirmed that the evacuation of the three members of the shooting had been carried out and are currently in Timika.

The three members who were victimized, namely the one who died, were Bharada Komang, a member of Brimob Kelapa Dua, while the injured were Ipda Anton Tonapa who was shot in the back and Bripka M Syaifudin received a bullet in the stomach.

The three of them are members of the Nemangkawi task force, Inspector General of Police Fakhiri said, adding that the two injured members were currently being treated at the Timika regional hospital.

When asked about the five KKB members who were pronounced dead, the Papua Police Chief admitted he was still unable to confirm because he was awaiting a full report.

“Indeed, there is information that five KKB died in the shooting, but this has not been confirmed as they are still awaiting reports while the members are still pursuing them,” said the inspector general of the Fakhiri font.

The shooting started around 8:00 a.m. WIT around the headquarters of Lumawi, Makki village, between the Nemangkawi task force and the KKB.
