Makassar (medialnews) – Sitti Saidah, an employee of the BRI’s Maricaya service unit under the BRI’s Somba Opu branch, in Makassar, continues to work to encourage the revival of small and medium-sized enterprises (UKM ) by stimulating productive credit.

“A form of concern for the revival of SMEs, in particular market traders who are mostly mothers, in addition to credit assistance, assistance is also provided,” said Sunday Saidah, whose work area is located around the district of Maricaya, in Makassar.

The Maricaya market is one of the traditional markets in Makassar that experienced a crisis at the start of the 2020 pandemic like any other market.

As a result, most of the small traders in Maricaya market lack trading capital, as it is used to cover their daily needs at home, as buyers are only counted as fingers going to the market.

However, when the new habit (new standard) was implemented, Saidah continued, they resumed operations but capital was low, so the BIS was there to help provide loans to businesses, so that their business is returning to normal as well.

This was admitted by one of the fruit and vegetable merchants, Nuraeni.

He said that in order to get his business back, he needed capital of at least 5 million rupees.

Therefore, it is very grateful to get BRI loan with easy repayment process, which can be paid daily or weekly. In addition, they also received assistance from BRI mantri on duty in the field, of which Saidah is also the supervisor of the Maricaya service unit.
