Puan calls on local government to track down travelers breaking isolation

“I hope the local government will take all necessary measures to locate these people,” Puan said in a written statement on Wednesday (5/13).

Puan, who was present to inspect the Cikampek toll road, in West Cikarang, West Java, recalled that the anticipation procedure should be prepared if there is some kind of reverse flow of movement from those who escaped. . Puan admitted that she was increasingly worried after learning that 4,123 travelers had tested positive.

Puan said their whereabouts must be traced to break the chain of spread of the virus. “This is a very high number and really needs to be traced. We need to know where they are now? Where did they go after they tested positive, were they isolated or returned?” he said.

In addition to tracing, Puan also called on the government to prepare health facilities and health workers to anticipate the surge in Covid-19 cases after Eid.

“We don’t want an increase in the number of Covid-19 cases after Eid, but we always have to be prepared,” he said.
