Abidin said there were no injuries or injuries caused by the incident. Meanwhile, the area burned is estimated at 5 square meters. Regarding the losses suffered, Jenal said, his party was still unable to confirm the material losses as it would continue to conduct further investigations.
“The material loss will be further investigated,” he said.
Additionally, Jenal Abidin explained, the fire started when Tempa & Cor building workers were heating products. From this activity, it caused a spark and hit the oil pan, causing a fire in the area.
However, with the vigilance of the workers, he continued, the fire was able to be dealt with first by the Pindad firefighters so that the flames did not spread more widely to other buildings.
The Pindad Damkar team deployed 1 fire unit supported by Bandung City Fire Department (Diskar) deployed 6 fire units including 2 central transmission units, 2 central tank units, 1 rescue unit and 1 command unit in accordance with SOPs for securing national vital objects.
Following the incident, Abidin also stressed that the fire that occurred in the area of the Tempa & Cor building would not disrupt the production process that will be carried out by the arms manufacturer belonging to BUMN.
“The fire incident has no significant effect on the production process of PT Pindad (Persero),” Jenal Abidin said.
