Police explained heavy traffic caused by fallen trees in Cilandak

The traffic director of Polda Metro Jaya, the chief commissioner of police, Sambodo Purnomo, was directly involved in the regulation of traffic.

Jakarta (medialnews) – A number of traffic officers resolved vehicle congestion near the Cipete Inpres market in southern Jakarta due to a fallen tree that struck a car after the rain swept the area.

Polda Metro Jaya’s traffic director, Police Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo, is directly involved in regulating the flow of traffic around Cipete Inpres market or the descent from Jalan Antasari to Cilandak, south of Jakarta, on Monday evening.

The tree fell and struck a black minibus with the vehicle’s license plate number B-1526-ZFY.

The car was damaged on the right side and there were no fatalities in the incident.

The South Jakarta Public Facilities and Infrastructure Management (PPSU) manager then cleaned up the fallen tree.

“The tree has been cleared and traffic between Antasari and Cilandak is congested,” Polda Metro Jaya’s Traffic Directorate said via Twitter.

Polda Metro Jaya called on residents to be careful, be aware of limited visibility, flooding, trees and billboards that can collapse in rain or bad weather.
