Jepara (medialnews) –

The Persijap Jepara team, Central Java, rejected the idea that the 2021 League 2 competition would be held without teams being relegated.

“Ideally, in a football league there should be promotion and relegation, because in addition to all the teams fighting for promotional tickets, there should also be competition between teams to avoid relegation,” Persijap Jepara president Muhammad Iqbal Hidayat said in Jepara on Wednesday.

Regarding the reasons for the health protocol and the clubs’ financial difficulties, it is believed that it cannot be used as an excuse.

On the other hand, he said, it should be a motivation for all football agencies in the country to show the international community that even during the pandemic Indonesia, which is also hosting the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2023, can. still have a national competition in a global manner, professional, safe and high integrity.

Organizing competitions with a bubble system to avoid crowds of supporters and strict application of prokes for competition participants is one of the right solutions to the current problems.
