Money to overcome the Bulls attack without Giannis Antetokounmpo

Jakarta (medialnews) – Brook Lopez and Khris Middleton each scored 22 points when the Milwaukee Bucks took a 108-98 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Friday (Saturday WIB), without the help of two-time MVP winner Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Jrue Holiday and Bobby Portis each added 16 points, while Portis had 14 rebounds, as the Bucks found their defensive intensity in the absence of Antetokounmpo after spraining his right ankle earlier in the game against the Houston Rockets on Thursday.

Without their star, the Bucks will get to their knees against the Rockets, Thursday (4/29). Kevin Porter Jr. scored 50 points for Houston. But a day later, Milwaukee held off the Bulls’ attack, which fired 38.5 percent of shots from the field and 30.3 percent of three-pointers.

Coby White added 21 points for the Bulls, while Nikola Vucevic had 17 points and 15 rebounds when Chicago lost for the ninth time in their last 13 games. The Bulls play without Lauri Markkanen and Cristiano Felicio is sick, but not related to COVID-19.

Chicago is now 11th in the Eastern Conference, three games behind 10th place Washington Wizards, who won against the Cleveland Cavaliers last Thursday, for a place in the postseason play-in tournament. The Bucks are in third place in the conference.

The Bulls took a 2-0 lead at the start of the game, but the Bucks picked up eight points with no answer and kept going. Milwaukee led 19 points in the first half, although Chicago took a 42-40 lead at the end of the second quarter before the Bucks returned to a 52-44 lead before halftime.

Bryn Forbes had 10 points and 13 rebounds for the Bucks, who were never threatened in the second half. Milwaukee is also without Donte DiVincenzo due to a toe injury.

The Bucks will play without Antetokounmpo for the first time since April 14. At that point, he injured his left knee.

Meanwhile, Daniel Theis had 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Bulls, then Tomas Satoransky scored 13 points.
