Leicester challenge Chelsea in FA Cup final

Jakarta (medialnews) – Leicester City challenged Chelsea in the FA Cup final after knocking out Southampton in a 1-0 semi-final win at Wembley Stadium, London, England on Sunday local time (Monday WIB ).

Like Chelsea yesterday, Leicester’s winning goal was also created in the 55th minute on a kick from Kelechi Iheanacho, who grabbed the ball from his shot which was cleared by Jannik Vestergaard.

Southampton were fortunate enough to respond with two chances from Ibrahima Diallo, but the French midfielder still failed to hit the target when he hit a wild ball.

In the 77th minute, Leicester had the chance to double their lead, but James Maddison wasted a chance created by Iheanacho’s pass.

Then in the second minute additional timeIheanacho came close to snatching the victory from Leicester early on, unfortunately his shot was blocked by Mohammed Salisu who put his body in front of goal.

However, Leicester and the Foxes managed to keep the score 1-0 in the FA Cup final for the first time since 1969, according to the official FA website.

Leicester have the chance to win their first FA Cup trophy if they beat Chelsea in the final which is due to take place at Wembley on May 15th.
