Lebak Bulus terminal recorded an increase in passenger numbers of up to 115%

Jakarta (medialnews) – The manager of the Lebak Bulus bus terminal in South Jakarta saw a 115% increase in the number of travelers from around 200 people on weekdays to 431 people on Sundays (2/5) or three days before the ban on returning home.

“The peak appears to be last Saturday Sunday. Now it’s starting to go up,” the head of the Lebak Bulus bus terminal executive unit, Hernanto, told Lebak Bulus on Tuesday.

He noted that on Saturday (1/5) and Sunday (3/5) there were only departing passengers and no disembarking passengers during the tightening of the return period.

Hernanto detailed on Saturday (1/5) the number of travelers who left reached 375 people served by 50 buses to several cities in Java. Meanwhile, Sunday (2/5) 65 buses were served by 431 departing passengers.

On Tuesday (4/5) the terminal, also known as Lintas Pasar Friday Terminal, was still visited by a number of travelers, but not as much as on weekends.

Before returning home, the government imposed austerity on travelers from April 22 to May 5, 2021 and from May 18 to 24, 2021.
