Banda Aceh (medialnews) – Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno launched Lampuuk Beach in Aceh Regency as a tourist destination sports tourism, which is scheduled to be organized a triathlon event.

“On Lampuuk beach, as we can see with our eyes, the beauty of the beach is very clean and white. I see this, if it is suitable, it will be studied for open water swimmingMenparekraf Sandiaga Uno told Aceh Besar on Sunday.

Sandiaga Uno’s statement was made after laying the foundation stone for the construction of a mosque and observing Lampuuk beach, Lhoknga district, Aceh Besar. Also accompanying the members of Commission X DPR RI Illiza Sa’aduddin Djamal and the head of the culture and tourism service of Aceh (Disbudpar) Jamaluddin.

He explained that with calm seawater conditions of up to two kilometers, the Lampuuk Beach area can be one of the swimming destinations. Then several other beach points which are also close to each other can be used for surfing.

Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno also appreciated the construction of a mosque by the government of Aceh at the tourist site of Lampuuk Beach. According to him, this is an integral part of historical tourism, namely the Rahmatullah Mosque, a mosque that was strong even though it was hit by the 2004 tsunami.

“And today we are laying the foundation stone for the mosque, it is an additional service to facilitate halal tourism for tourists to worship as they enjoy the beauty of nature,” the Menparekraf said.

Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno hopes that the facilities at tourist sites will be properly maintained, regarding cleanliness, health, safety and environmental sustainability.
