Jayson Tatum helped the Celtics to a 119-114 victory over the Warriors

Jakarta (medialnews) – Jayson Tatum scored 44 points to give the Boston Celtics a 119-114 lead over the visiting Golden State Warriors in the NBA game that took place Saturday (Sunday WIB).

Kemba Walker threw the three-pointers with 24 seconds to go, and Tatum is the top scorer for the Celtics, who have already scored six consecutive victories.

“Every player contributes. That is what has to be done to win the match. It will certainly be fine, “Tatum told AFP on Sunday.

However, the Celtics still couldn’t compete with Stephen Curry, who scored 47 points for the Warriors in the game. Curry averaged more than 40 points in the Warriors’ four consecutive victories, which ended last Saturday.

“I was amazed at what I saw tonight. It felt like a playoff. Both teams played with passion. Steph and Jayson made some incredible shots,” said Warriors coach Steve Kerr.

Curry, a two-time NBA MVP winner, shot three points to narrow the Celtics’ lead with 19 seconds to go in the fourth quarter, but the Celtics were still able to beat the Warriors for the fifth consecutive time.

Andrew Wiggins scored 22 points and Draymond Green had 10 rebounds for the Warriors, who led a whopping 16 points in the second quarter before Boston took the lead 21-2 in the third quarter.

The Warriors were threatened in the fourth quarter when Curry turned his ankle to grab the ball in midfield. But in the end he got up and let go of the ball.

Meanwhile, it wasn’t easy for Golden State’s Juan Toscano-Anderson to keep his mood in check as he tried to chase a loose ball, but instead bumped into the gaming table on the sidelines.

Toscano-Anderson landed hard on the floor and bounced off a number of folding chairs and several computer screens on the table.

He was silent for a few minutes before finally getting up and walking into the locker room, pressing a towel to the side of his head.

“That’s the mind of a competitor. Juan is definitely a player you want on your team,” Kerr said.
