Injury recovered, Gregoria is set to appear in the Malaysia Open 2021

Jakarta (medialnews) – After missing several European tournaments in March due to an injury to the right thigh, women’s national badminton player Gregoria Mariska Tunjung admitted she was ready to return to compete in the competition.

Gregoria plans to participate in the BWF Super 750 tournament on May 25-30 in Kuala Lumpur, a qualifying tournament for the Tokyo Olympics.

“Praise God I’m healthy, I’m fine, I’m 100 percent recovered. Now I’m preparing to go to Malaysia. It’s been pretty good, especially in the past three weeks, I’ve been physically trained by my coach,” and now I feel fitter, ”he said. Gregoria, according to PP PBSI’s official statement, Friday.

In addition to being physically trained, his training also focuses on increasing focus during competitions. He admits that he often loses focus, especially on critical points.

“Time to compete is not only physical, but there are many factors such as mental readiness and others. That’s why I’m also trying to increase my focus on the field, which was one of the obstacles,” he said.

In Malaysia, Gregoria is determined to perform at its best to improve the standings ahead of the Tokyo Olympics. The calculations did not qualify for him, but he still had the chance to win one ticket.

In addition to Gregoria, the Indonesian team sent eleven other representatives, plus a joint Malay / Indonesian pair.
