Goalkeeper Fakrurrazi Quba stays with Persiraja

Banda Aceh (medialnews) – Persiraja Banda Aceh goalkeeper Fakrurrazi Quba is confirmed to stay with Laskar Rencong to navigate the League 1 competition next season.

Fakrurrazi Quba admitted that he had signed a contract extension with Persiraja for the following season.

“What prompted me to renew my contract was because Persiraja contributed to my career. Persiraja has become my home and comfortable here,” said Fakrurrazi Quba in Banda Aceh on Tuesday.

His neat performance in the 2020 League 1 and 2021 Menpora Cup pre-season tournaments has attracted a number of League 1 and League 2 teams to use this player’s services.

Before renewing his contract with Persiraja, Fakrurrazi Quba was reportedly in high demand by Persis Solo and several teams, but eventually signed a contract extension.

Fakrurrazi Quba is an experienced North Aceh goalkeeper who has reinforced a number of football clubs both in Aceh and outside Aceh, from PSLS Lhokseumawe, PSSB Bireuen, PSAP Sigli to Semen Padang.

Fakrurrazi was sidelined for three years before being signed by Persiraja in the 2019 Liga 2 season.

His brilliant performance with Persiraja in Liga 2 led to Laskar Rencong being promoted to Liga 1 for the 2020 season.

During League 1, the 31-year-old goalkeeper stole the attention of national football for not giving in in three consecutive games.

Fakrurrazi became the first player whose contract was extended by Persiraja ahead of the 2021 League 1 season starting in July.
