Paris (medialnews) – French stocks closed sharply lower on Tuesday (05/11/2021), following profit taking for the fourth consecutive gain, the benchmark CAC 40 on the Paris Bourse plunging 1.86% or 118.60 points, to settle at 6,267.39 points.

The CAC 40 index rose slightly by 0.01% or 0.48 points to 6,385.99 points on Monday (05/10/2021), after gaining 0.45% or 28.42 points to 6,385.51 points on Friday (7/5/2021), and increased the two previous days, respectively 0.28% and 1.40%.

Of the 40 stocks of large companies selected that are part of the CAC 40 index, all are in the red zone.

French multinational automaker Renault has suffered the most (best loser) among the main values ​​or blue fries, with its share value plummeting 6.44 percent.

This was followed by multinational electric utility company Engie, which lost 3.68%, and Franco-Italian electronics and semiconductor multinational STMicroelectronics lost 3.22%.
