Eid, Ady Setiawan is hoping for the best for the national team

Jakarta (medialnews) – Indonesian national team player Ady Setiawan hopes the Garuda squad will achieve the best results in the 2022 World Cup qualifier, as a prayer he does along with Eid’s momentum.

“Hopefully the Indonesian national team will run smoothly for the best results in the 2022 World Cup qualifier,” Ady said on the PSSI official website on Thursday.

Not to mention, the player from the Persebaya club also represented his colleagues in the national team to wish him a happy Eid and ask for forgiveness both inside and out.

This year’s Eid gives a different impression on the Bima-born player. He had to celebrate Eid outside of his family because he attended a training camp (TC) in Jakarta.

“This moment is the first for me as I usually celebrate Eid with my family at home,” said Ady.

However, the 26-year-old is grateful to be able to celebrate Eid with friends and national team officials, including the Eid prayer.

“Alhamdulillah, we can do Eid prayers with fellow players and Indonesian national team officials,” said Ady.

All players and officials of the Indonesian national team who are Muslim perform the Idul Fitri 1442 Hijriah prayers at the Fairmont Hotel, Jakarta, with the Imam Ustadz H Muhammad Nur Sueb.

In his sermon, Ustadz H Muhammad Nur Sueb said that the momentum of the month of Ramadan makes everything better in any way, and should enjoy Eid al-Fitr’s victory day even during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We have to be patient and sincere with the current circumstances. This is one of the tests given by Allah SWT. God willing, this pandemic will end soon. We also want PSSI to always be successful and victorious and that the Indonesian national team will be able to win later in the 2022 World Cup qualifier to make the nation proud, ”said Sueb.

After the Eid prayer, all players and officials enjoyed the Eid holiday through Friday (5/14). Furthermore, the training will start again on Saturday (15/5)

As is known, Garuda’s team has been running a training camp (TC) in Jakarta since May 1 in preparation for the 2022 World Cup qualifier in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in June.

Indonesia will play Thailand on June 3, then Vietnam on June 7 and finally the UAE on June 11. The AFC has selected the UAE as the venue for further centralization of the World Cup qualifiers for Group G.

In addition to undergoing World Cup qualifiers, Indonesia will also undergo two international tests against Afghanistan (25/5) and Oman (29/5) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
