East Jakarta Park Sub-Department cleared 57 fallen trees

Jakarta (medialnews) – The Department of Parks and Forests of the City of East Jakarta has completed the evacuation of 57 fallen trees in the Cilangkap area.

The head of the Forestry and Green Lane section of the East Jakarta City Parks and Forests sub-department, Atang Setiawan, said his party had deployed 21 officers to evacuate the fallen tree.

“We note that there were 57 trees that fell on Wednesday (04/14/2021) afternoon. Because the manipulation was not over, it continued today,” said Atang Setiawan in Jakarta, Thursday.

Atang Setiawan said heavy rains accompanied by high winds that hit Jakarta were the cause of the fallen tree. He said the place with the most fallen trees was in Taman Cempaka Cilangkap.

“There are 30 trees of different types and sizes, four spatodate trees with a diameter of 50 centimeters, and the rest are small with a diameter of 5 to 10 centimeters,” said Atang Setiawan.

Another area of ​​fallen trees is in the Cilangkap TNI headquarters area, which has up to 15 trees. In addition, eight trees are located on Jl. As-Syafiiyah, which consists of four Angsana trees with a diameter of 50 centimeters, three Tanjung trees with a diameter of 40 centimeters, and a rubber kebo tree with a diameter of of 50 centimeters.

Then three fallen trees were in Sampak on Jl. Raya Cilangkap, with details of a tamarind tree with a diameter of 40 centimeters, an angsana tree with a diameter of 40 centimeters and a saga tree with a diameter of 40 centimeters. ⁣

“Small trees with a diameter of 5 to 10 centimeters can still be replanted. From today all the manipulations will be carried out,” he added.
