Democratic founder suggests SBY build Yudhoyono party

VIVA – One of the founders of the Democratic Party Wisnu HKP Notonegoro aka Ki Ageng Noto criticized the decision of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) to register Democrats with the General Directorate of Intellectual Property Rights as personal intellectual property.

“Democratic brands that are already public should not be registered under personal names. Due to its political fatsun, Democrats are not the personal property of SBY,” Wisnu said in his written statement Sunday, April 18, 2021.

According to Wisnu, let alone owning, SBY cannot even be called the founder of the Democrats because Cikeas loyalists are still expiring.

Wisnu also tells the story of the founding of the Democrats, including the logo selection he initiated.

“The origin of the initiation of the Democratic Party 20 years ago stems from SBY’s failure to run for vice-presidency at the 2001 MPR-RI special session.
