The Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) released weather information on the first day of Eid al-Fitr 1442 H via the website bmkg.go.id.

Using this weather information, BMKG said that up to 18 regions in Indonesia have the potential for heavy rains.

Meanwhile, there are eight regions in Indonesia that have the potential for rain accompanied by high winds.

Through his account, BMKG stated that tropical cyclone seeds of 96W were observed in the Pacific Ocean northeast of North Maluku, with a minimum air pressure of 1003 hPa and a maximum wind speed around the center of 15 knots moving west-northwest.

Cyclonic circulation is observed in the Strait of Malacca, which forms a convergence zone.

This convergence extends from the waters north of Aceh to the Strait of Malacca.

Another zone of convergence is observed extending from Lampung to the north of Sumatra, starting from Kep. Riau in Malaysia.

Then from South Central Kalimantan to West Kalimantan, from South East Sulawesi to West Sulawesi, from Cenderawasih Bay to West Papua and extending into Central Papua.

This condition is able to increase the potential for rain cloud growth around the tropical cyclone seed zone, cyclonic circulation and along the convergence zone.
