medialnews – Watch for the BMKG high wave early warning on Saturday May 1, 2021.

The height of the sea waves on Saturday 1 May was predicted by the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) to reach 2.5 to 4 meters.

The waters most affected by the rise in high waves are the Bali Strait at Lombok, the western waters of the Mentawai Islands, the waters of the Sunda Strait and the Indian Ocean south of Banten to NTT.

In addition to impacting ocean waves, this condition also results in wind direction and speed in some areas.

The impact on wind direction and speed occurs mainly in the northern part of Indonesia.

Where the wind direction is moving from northeast to east with wind speeds ranging from 5 to 15 knots.

While in the southern part of Indonesia it generally moves east to southeast with wind speeds ranging from 5 to 20 knots.

The highest wind speeds were observed in the waters south of Banten to West Java and the Arafuru Sea.
