Before the divorce, Melinda Gates had already bought a new house

medialnews – JAKARTA. Melinda Gates bought a $ 1.2 million house in Seattle’s North Broadway neighborhood, three weeks before she and Bill Gates filed for divorce.

Melinda bought the four-bedroom, two-bathroom home in early April, deed obtained Insider.

Meanwhile, Melinda and Bill Gates announced their divorce on Monday (3/5) after 27 years of marriage.

“After a lot of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we made the decision to end our marriage,” they said in a statement.

The New York Times reported in 1997, Melinda and Bill Gates filed for a prenuptial agreement when they got married, however, seeking a divorce only refers to a “separation contract” to divide real estate, personal property and debt.

Melinda Gates in particular did not request a name change in her petition to dissolve her marriage and will continue to use Melinda French Gates’ full name.
