ASN and Aceh contractors are prohibited from joining the fast

VIVA – The Aceh government prohibits the State Civil Service Apparatus (ASN) and contract workers from attending together iftar or halal bi halal events that can cause potential crowds.

Employees are also prohibited from traveling outside the region and returning to the country from May 6 to 17, 2021 and do not request annual leave during this period.

Aceh Regional Secretary Taqwallah said all ASNs must be proactive in their reporting if other ASNs do not follow these rules. “ASN must be proactive. If there are staff whose superiors find out, they will certainly be affected, ”Taqwallah told reporters on Thursday April 15, 2021.

Officials will also be penalized if they carry out these prohibited activities, as will staff members. This is important, he said, as a form of joint effort to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. “We hope that worship during Ramadan remains calm and that COVID does not lift in Aceh,” he said.

The ban on attending halal bi halal and breaking the fast together is set out in Governor’s Instruction No. 05 / INSTR / 2021. The instruction was issued on the basis of Instruction No. 7/2021 concerning the extension of the application of restrictions to community micro-activities and the optimization of Covid-19 management positions at the village and sub-district levels.
