4.8 magnitude earthquake shakes Masohi, central Maluku

VIVA – A 4.8 magnitude earthquake rocked Masohi, central Maluku, Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at 00.26 WIB.

Cited on the website of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) website, the epicenter was at coordinates 3.48 south latitude (LS) and 129.07 east longitude (BT) or was at sea 23 km south-east of Masohi, in the center of the Moluccas.

The epicenter was at a depth of 10 km. This earthquake was also felt in Amahai, Nusa Laut, Saparua.
