The Jakmania apologized for the actions of the supporters of Persija Jakarta

Jakarta (medialnews) – The central board of The Jakmania has apologized for the actions of Persija Jakarta supporters who caused inconvenience by leading a convoy and celebrating the 2021 Menpora Cup winners around the HI roundabout, Sunday ( 25/4).

The apology was sent directly to the Minister of Youth and Sports Zainudin Amali via a short message.

“We apologize for the inconvenience that occurs when the Jakmania friends cause unrest,” the message was quoted in a press release from the Jakarta Ministry of Youth and Sports on Monday.

“It is not the slightest intention of us as Jakmania’s central executive to instruct members to conduct convoys, or any celebration that is outrageous, let alone violate established health protocols.”

They said they encouraged viewing at home. Various campaigns and calls have also been repeated, either through Jakmania’s regional coordinator, the official agency or through social media.

PP de Jakmania admitted that the euphoria of the second leg was indeed different from the first leg. After a year without competition, the Menpora Cup 2021 managed to capture the attention and emotions of the supporters. Not to mention, the last match that brought together Persija Jakarta and Persib Bandung had sparked spontaneity for some of the Jakmania.

“Even though the numbers are still very small compared to our championship march some time ago, both when we won the Presidential Cup and League 1. We were founded to stay at home,” he wrote.

Jakmania hopes this will become a lesson for all supporters so that they can mutually protect their respective cities and prioritize health protocols.
