Managers of tourist-visitors are responsible for implementing the prokes

Jakarta (medialnews) – Tourism managers and visitors must be responsible and disciplined in implementing health protocols at tourist attractions as part of efforts to ensure safe tourism amid the COVID-19 pandemic, said the Population Observer of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences Rusli Cahyadi.

“Both tourist attraction officials and visitors must enforce health protocols. There is no other way,” he said, contacted by medialnews in Jakarta on Friday.

According to him, managers of tourist attractions must respect the maximum number of visitors.

As an extra effort, he said, managers must patrol the implementation of health protocols.

“Continuous warnings should be given to visitors. Visitors should always be vigilant at all times to implement health protocols,” said Rusli.

For those who are not yet in the tourist attractions, Rusli said staying at home is the best choice.

Strict implementation of health protocols, he said, is important to anyone as the primary effort to prevent the transmission and spread of COVID-19.

These health protocols include wearing masks, washing hands with soap and running water, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, and reducing mobility.
