The LOS Angeles Lakers have appointed television commentator and former NBA basketball player JJ Redick as their head coach, Tuesday (25/6) WIB.

The former shooting guard for the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Clippers became a commentator for television station ESPN after ending his 15-year playing career. He had absolutely no coaching experience.

The 40-year-old also has a podcast channel with Lakers star LeBron James.

“I am deeply honored to join the Los Angeles Lakers, one of the most famous and successful clubs in the world,” said Redick.

Redick joins the Lakers to replace Darvin Ham, who was fired last May.
